By Colin Faul

Grab your calendars and save the date! MCAA's Masonry Showcase is approaching fast and you will not want to miss out on this must attend event! The 2005 Masonry Showcase at Construct America? will be hosted in Chicago April 19-22, 2005. With Chicago's history of masonry architecture and construction, endless activities and nightlife make it the perfect location to hold MCAA's Masonry Showcase. No other city in the country can match Chicago's ease of accessibility including airports and drive in factor giving our members and attendees a no excuse travel location. This is the first time the show will be in Chicago providing a new and fresh venue for all of our attendees to enjoy.

Not only will Masonry Showcase be in a new location for 2005 but will offer an exciting new format bringing even more to our showcase attendees. Starting in April 2005 MCAA's Masonry Showcase will be partnering with the Construction Specifications Institute's Construct America? show. Construct America? is an umbrella concept where construction industry related shows co-locate to host a large networking event bringing buyers and sellers together for the purpose of networking and education. Participating shows include the Masonry Showcase, the Construction Specifications Institute Show and the Total Facility Management Show.

Benefits of the co-location include:

  • Exhibits covering virtually the entire construction lifecycle
  • Additional products attendees can add to their business offerings
  • Ability to attend three shows for the price of one
  • Combined networking events
  • See the latest products and services from leading vendors and manufacturers serving the entire construction industry

In addition to the new show format and co-location partners for 2005, exciting Masonry Showcase events include the Joint Construct America? Welcome Reception at the Field Museum, awe inspiring tours throughout Chicago, closing event at Chicago's Second City Theatre and the all new Masonry: It Makes a Village? Competition, debuting at the 2005 show, all combined make this the must attend event in April 2005. Keep your eyes peeled for registration materials which will be sent out in the next month. Also, check out additional information ONLINE at www.masonryshowcase.com. See you next April 19-22, 2005 in Chicago!
