Acme Brick Lays First Brick in New Company Headquarters

Acme Brick has produced billions of hard-fired clay bricks for the Texas and national market since the company built its current headquarters in 1952. However, none was more special than the ceremonial first brick produced for Acme's new headquarters being built at 3101 Bryant Irvin Road in Fort Worth, Texas.
Recently, Acme President and CEO Dennis Knautz laid this first brick at the new headquarters. The date also marked Acme's 116th birthday. The brick being used for this event was made in part from clay gathered at the new headquarters site during the company's Oct. 6 groundbreaking.
Acme's new headquarters will total 77,000 square feet and will rise three stories above Fort Worth's Trinity River nature trail. Designed by Gideon Toal Architects of Fort Worth, completion of the structure is expected this fall. The building's exterior will be comprised of several Acme brick blends and native Texas limestone from its Texas Quarries natural stone division. Brick blends from each of Acme's 23 brick plants and products from all of Acme's affiliated companies are being incorporated into the building's design.
