Skelly and Loy Hires Waste Management Services Leader for Monroeville Office

Bryan J. McConnell, P.G., brings more than 20 years of environmental experience

Bryan J. McConnell, P.G., has been hired as the Waste Management Services Leader for Skelly and Loy’s Monroeville Office. In this role, he will be responsible for managing and providing technical and contractual oversight for all waste management-related tasks performed from this office.

Mr. McConnell is a Registered Professional Geologist with more than 20 years of experience in the professional environmental management field. His specialties include project management, soil and groundwater remedial investigations and feasibility studies, design and implementation of soil and groundwater remediation programs, risk-based closure of hazardous waste and petroleum release sites, regulatory-driven environmental compliance audits and inspections, multi-media permitting and negotiating/facilitating, and regulatory policy management.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from West Virginia University in 1986, Mr. McConnell spent the following 15 years at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in progressively responsible positions until leaving in 2003. During the next four years, he managed multi-media environmental programs as a government contractor through various consulting firms. Mr. McConnell also owns and operates a 190-acre beef farm in Templeton, Pennsylvania, and is a Township Supervisor in Boggs Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.

Mr. McConnell is CFR 1910.120(e) HAZWOPER Certified and is an Environmental Management System Auditor. He is a member in good standing of several professional organizations including, but not limited to, the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Professionals, the Air & Waste Management Association, Pennsylvania Association of Professional Geologists, and the Geological Society of America.
