Commercial projects may have over 15 specification sections listed and many times there will be more than one trade in a specification section. General contractors or project managers often find themselves as the administrator, or bosses, of all the different trades.
This presentation will attempt to provide ways that the mason contractor can help the general contractor or project manager understand and appreciate the details of masonry. In return, the mason contractor needs to understand and appreciate the needs of other trades, particularly those that interface with masonry. In doing so, the mason contractor has a better opportunity to participate in communication with the general contractor or project manager, thereby working together in moving the project to completion.
